Bucket hats are so called because they resemble the shape of a bucket. A hat that originated in Ireland and was worn mainly by fishermen when they worked. The feature is that the ceiling is flat and the brim is slightly lowered. When working at sea, when wearing a rain gear hood, if it is a normal hat, the brim is an obstacle, so it's a falling brim.
